The Youth Exchange Study program is a program sponsored by the US State Department which brings high school students from foreign countries (mainly Moslem) to the US for a one year home stay exchange. The program was developed to promote a mutual understanding of our different cultures. The countries which are represented here include Kuwait, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Oman and Yemen please forgive me if I have forgotten anyone or better yet send me an email and let me know so I can rectify my mistake. Explore America, whom I work for on a periodic basis was contracted to host about 300 students during their orientation in Washington DC. The following five pages of photos are from that one week period in which we welcomed the kids to the US before they moved on to their host families which were spread across the US.
