Joe Toska, a California native, worked in Yosemite National Park from 1990 to 1999. In Yosemite he worked as a food and beverage manager for the Yosemite Consessions Service, coached skiing and swimming for the local children and worked at the Yosemite Elementary School as well as the Yosemite Child Care Cernter. Joe has worked as a tour guide for Trek America and Yosemite Guides and is owner and founder of California Dreamin' Tours where he has conducted tours in Yosemite and throughout the American West for the past six summers. During the winters he works in Vail Colorado for Colorado Mountain Express where he transports guests from local airports to many of Colorado's finest ski resorts.Joe speaks German, Spanish and Polish. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe where he has also worked and studied at the Jegellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Joe has also traveled and worked in Central America and Turkey.
Joe is an avid outdoorsman and an experinced rock climber, hiker, mountain biker and skier/snowboarder. Joe's knowledge of Yosemite and years living there makes for a great tour experience.
Masa Tenaka is a native of Fukushima, Japan who has been living and working in California for over five years. During this time Masa has been a tour guide in Yosemite for summers and in San Francisco for the winters. Masa has been working in conjunction with several big bus tour companies including JTB Tours and California Parlour Car Tours. Being a native of Japan Masa conducts tours in Japanese for our visitors from Japan. This combined with Joe Toska's language skills and Masa's fine English gives Yosemite Tours a distinct advantage over all the other tour companies based in the Yosemite area.Masa's is a lover of the outdoors and his skills include extensive hiking and biking experience throughout the Yosemite area. At the moment Masa is taking up rock climbing and shows great promise in his ability. Masa also has a vast store of Yosemite history and folklore including Indian history which he loves to share with his guests.
