The Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle)
Welcome to "Castle Bran". The Bran Castle was once one of the many residences of Prince Vlad Tepes, now known as the legendary Dracula.

Vlad Tepes father was known as Dracul so Vlad was called Dracula, or son of Dracul. He earned his bloody fame from the particularly brutal way he in which he dealt with the Turks who were constantly invading Romania from the east. His tactics may have been bloody including impaling among others but he was popular with the masses because of his huge success in defending his homeland from the ravaging Turkish invaders. I can't say with any certainty that he ever drank human blood.
